Terrain Project and some Crimean Progress (but not much)

So I bought a Totalbattleminiatures.com Hamlet Tile - unpainted:

50mm Tiles

And some Warbases 50mm and 100mm bases - 3mm deep:

And I have these Hovels Spanish buildings painted:

So I'll see what happens when I put them together - next project:

Not quite enough to take on Scotty's Russians yet, but there has been some progress on the Crimean front:

Impetus Basing

I had these Museum Miniatures Middle/Late Roman figures lying painted in the spares box. I thought I'd experiment with putting them on an Impetus sized base as I am doing for the Flodden Figures.

This size basing is ideal for playing Hail Caesar in centimetres rather than inches. These Romans would represent a  light infantry unit (not in skirmish order) for Hail Caesar  and a FL unit for Impetus.

Cacadores

2 units of Cacadores both based using Tajima1 grass tufts instead of "pva and static grass". I suppose it'll get better with practice:

Crimean Flags

With the first brigade of my Crimean British now being only 6 figures short, I thought I'd better have a go at some flags. These have been cobbled together from free Napoleonic Flags and a Crimean Royal Colour that I cant remember the source of. All done with Microsoft Paint. The flag is the 38th Regiment and will be the brigade command stand for Campbell's Brigade of the 3rd Division.

I'm not going to bother with Battle Honours on the Regimental Colour - at 10mm I doubt you would make them out anyway!
